French Score

PEFtrust diligently tracks updates in French methodology through continuous monitoring of CGDD’s efforts, providing a preview of the upcoming French Score.

The draft of the French Score for French labeling is now available within the product dashboard. The dashboard offers valuable information, including the days of use for reference, theFrench Score, and the PEF Score.

  • the Days of use are determined by multiplying the average number of wears associated with the product category by the Intrinsic Quality Multiplier (IQM) and the Repairability Multiplier (RM).
  • the French Score is calculated by summing the ‘French PEF Score’ with French additives (Microfiber and Export outside Europe). This total is then multiplied by the average number of uses and divided by the reference days of use (lifetime). The multiplication and division operation effectively divides the result by IQM*RM.

For each graph on the dashboard, it is now possible to choose from six types of scores:

  •  PEF Score = Sum of the 16 environmental impacts / PEF Normalization Factors * PEF Weighting factors.
  •  French PEF Score = Sum of the 16 environmental impacts / PEF Normalization Factors * French Weighting factors.
  • PEF Score / IQM*RM = PEF Score * Average number of uses / Days of use = PEF Score / (Intrinsic Quality Multiplier * Repairability Multiplier)
  • French PEF Score / IQM*RM = French PEF Score * Average number of uses / Days of use = French PEF Score / (Intrinsic Quality Multiplier * Repairability Multiplier)
  • PEF Score / Days of use = PEF Score / functional unit
  • French PEF Score / Days of use = French PEF Score / functional unit

Your Gateway to the Digital Product Passport

In response to the upcoming ESPR regulation (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation) and the anticipated DPP (Digital Product Passport), PEFtrust introduces the EPP (Environmental Product Passport), a forward-looking solution.

The EPP incorporates essential environmental aspects of the future DPP, enabling advanced compliance. This tool lays a solid foundation for meeting future regulatory requirements, facilitating an effective transition to the DPP once established.

To view the EPP, the product needs to be published. Once done, navigate to the product library. Select the desired reference to see a new icon labeled ‘View DPP’. It is possible to download the EPP in PDF format or as a web version.

Enhancing Product Management with Tags

Tags provide a flexible method for classifying and organizing products. For those looking to group eco-designed products or classify them according to a specific nomenclature, tags make the process more straightforward than ever.

To create tags, simply navigate to the organization settings, add a tag name, and select a color for distinction.

Once created, tags can be easily assigned to products. This feature enables effortless filtering and searching through the organization and product libraries, facilitating the quick location of necessary items.

Organizing and managing products efficiently is now achievable with tags. Implementing this feature can significantly streamline workflow and improve organizational efficiency.
